METROPLEX TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS COUNCIL NAMES BETTINA BENNETT 10th ANNUAL TECH TITANS AWARDS FINALIST

August 5, 2010 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DALLAS, TEXAS -- Bettina Bennett, CEO and Chief Maverick of WhichBox Media was named a finalist for the Tech Titan Emerging CEO award, by the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the largest technology trade organization in Texas.

This year marks the 10th Annual Tech Titans and Titan Fast Tech awards, recognizing outstanding technology companies and individuals in the North Texas area who have made significant contributions to the industry during the past year.

Bennett’s company launched its award-winning, next generation online publishing platform, whichbox™, into private beta in 2009. By February 2010, whichbox™ was awarded a 2010 OnMedia 100 Award for its “game-changing and disruptive” technology. Past recipients of this honor include Facebook, Meebo, Hulu, Brightcove, Shutterfly and others. In March, WhichBox Media was selected to be a featured presenter at the 2010 World’s Best Technologies conference, and in June was chosen by youngStartup as a 2010 Top Innovator at the New York Venture Summit.

“We're passionate about what we are doing at WhichBox Media, and I am honored about the nomination and to be a finalist for this prestigious award. I am excited as it coincides with our emergence from a closed private beta to a public beta phase and with WhichBox Media's second anniversary!"

The Tech Titans Award winners will be revealed at the Tech Titans Awards gala event, to be held at the Renaissance Hotel Dallas-Richardson in Richardson, Texas, on Friday, August 27, 2010. More information about the event is available at www.metroplextbc.org/techtitans.

“The Tech Titans and Titan Fast Tech Awards provide the premier recognition of fast-growing, highly innovative companies that contribute to the vibrancy of the North Texas economy and make our region an exciting place to live and work,” said Cindi Keith, partner/technology marketing industry leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and co-chair of the MTBC’s Tech Titans steering committee. “We look forward to showcasing the true leaders in our industry and celebrating their hard work and creativity.”
